Welcome to my Portfolio

Hi, I’m Salomon. I apply machine learning and data-driven methodologies to bioinformatics and health research.

My career sits at the intersection of three domains: bioinformatics, biosensing, and biomedicine. This path integrates the scientific rigor developed during my postdoctoral research with substantial experience in the IT industry. As a result, I approach research and technical development with a service-oriented mindset, engaging stakeholders, defining complex requirements, and translating challenging biological questions into concrete, reproducible solutions.

As a Senior Technical Writer, I have also worked as a mentor, technical lead, consultant, and open-source contributor. Across these roles, I focus on enabling collaboration within cross-functional teams and aligning technical outputs with stakeholder needs. With over 10 years of academic writing experience and more than four years in technical writing, I specialize in translating complex scientific and computational concepts into clear, structured, and accessible documentation for diverse audiences.

Lastly, I'm eligible to work internationally across Europe and Latin America — no sponsorship required.

  • nf-core/proteinfold
This pipeline automates the prediction of 3D protein structures from sequence data, integrating methods such as AlphaFold, ColabFold, and ESMFold. My contribution integrated .yaml files for Boltz and Alphafold2 subprocesses.
  • TimeCopilot: the GenAI Forecasting Agent
Supported the documentation of the project.
  • Deploy Airbyte on Azure | Airbyte
Created a guide to deploying Airbyte on a Microsoft Azure VM.
  • WizelineLabs | Wizeline
Created a repository containing documentation and licenses that served as a template to generate new open source projects at Wizeline.
  • GitWize | Wizeline
GitWize is an AWS cloud-based application that allows you to extract valuable insights and metrics from a single GitHub repository using git commit logs. I led the documentation strategy of this project.
